Rhenafac AB-11 is used as a wetting and dispersing agent for solvent-based, solvent-free coatings and printing inks. It stabilizes inorganic pigments, especially titanium dioxide, and can significantly reduce the viscosity of the grinding material. The additive deflocculates the pigment through steric hindrance. Since the deflocculated pigment particles are very small, high gloss and enhanced color intensity can be obtained. In addition, transparency and hiding power are also increased. The additive can reduce viscosity, thereby improving fluidity and increasing the amount of pigment added. When used for electrostatic high-speed rotary coating of inorganic pigment coatings, it can significantly reduce haze. Because of its anionic properties, the additive is an ideal choice for acid-catalyzed systems (such as coil coatings).
